Old Dubbo Gaol

The Old Dubbo Gaol is completely restored and home to a large display of animatronics and holographic displays which provide a realistic and fascinating insight into a bygone era of barbaric prison life. Wandering around this unique collection of 19th century buildings and artefacts, learning the stories of prison life, and spending a moment in the pitch black of the solitary confinement cell, will be certain to send a chill up your spine.
Explore the gaol grounds any day except Christmas with a self-guided tour and catch our characters in costume with either some of our comical wardens or prisoners. Book in a group or school visit with our fully guided options or enter after hours for a night tour.
